The inspiration from this design came from my trip to the Toshiba Gallery at the V&A Museum in London. Seeing how cranes were used to create movement across all mediums in Japanese art is magical. Japanese art and culture has influenced almost every aspect of my work, and continues to do so. To create this design I started with one key illustration and re-created it several times in varying sizes, adding unique and intricate patterns to each version. I then used brush strokes and fluid lines to help them take flight.
Each one of these is one of a kind with variations to the print placement making each jacket unique to you. A labour of love, these jackets are incredibly special and made one-by-one in Brighton by one of our seamstresses.
