Here at darling HQ we like to do things differently using our print room to add a unique edge to many of our pieces. Sophie herself has been printing for 20 years and loves the fine art sensibilities it continues to nurture in her designs. 'Its adds something unique and wholly unrepeatable' says owner Sophie.
Screen printing is a time honored technique that's labour intensive but makes for beautiful results. Every time a new print is developed we experiment extensively with colours, layering both ink and designs until it comes to life.
Once printed fabrics go off to one of our carefully selected seamstresses to be made into garment. This is where the magic really happens and the print takes on a whole new identity.
