Position: Garment and Pattern Cutter

About Us:

We are a friendly and innovative slow fashion studio based in Brighton, dedicated to creating unique and high-quality designs. We are currently seeking an ambitious, and meticulous fashion graduate to join our team in a part-time role. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the slow fashion industry, working with a small passionate team.

 

Responsibilities:

Support the preparation and organisation of cut packs prepped for sewing.

Meticulous understanding of fabrics and how to cut them.

Knowledge of garment construction.

An ability to sewing to a high standard.

Create and update patterns and specifications according to fabric or client requirements.

Collaborate with the team to ensure designs align with the brand’s vision and standards.

Participate in fittings.

Ongoing inventory management.

Liaising with our production manger using Trello in line with our critical time path.

 

Requirements:

A degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field.

Experience in the fashion or textiles industry, either through internships or academic projects.

Strong understanding of fabrics, patterns, and garment construction.

Industrial sewing machine experience

Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other relevant design software a bonus.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Ambitious, hardworking, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
