Two-Hour Beginner's Textile Screen Printing Workshop
Join Sophie Darling for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to textile screen printing at Darling Studios, Brighton.
This is a slightly shorter, two-hour version of our regular three-hour beginners' workshop. It's a chance to explore textile screen printing in a more compact session, with no prior experience needed.

Price: £65
Explore the fundamentals of screen printing using paper stencils, then bring your ideas to life on fabric. With live demonstrations and inspiration from Sophie's personal archive, you will design and print your own unique creation.
What to expect
Create a two-colour screen print using your own hand-cut stencil design. Experiment with colour layering to build depth and texture, and leave with a personalised textile print, ready to frame or transform into a finished piece.
What you will learn
- The basics of textile screen printing and the essential materials and tools.
- How to develop your design through pattern and composition.
- How to cut and prepare paper stencils for use with Sophie's blank screens.
- How to print onto fabric using pre-mixed inks and layered colours.
What to bring
- An apron to protect your clothes.
- Optional: a T-shirt, tote bag or fabric piece to print on. Fine-weave fabrics work best.
- Your creativity!

Cancellation and Refund Policy
1. Refunds:
- If you cancel at least seven days before the course begins, you will receive a full refund minus a 5% booking fee.
- Cancellations made within seven days of the course start date are non-refundable.
2. Course Transfers
- We may be able to transfer your booking to a future workshop upon request, although this is not guaranteed.
3. Course Cancellations:
- We reserve the right to cancel any course due to circumstances such as low enrollment
- In the event of a cancellation, we will make every effort to provide at least 7 days' notice.
- If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund.
