Hi Darlings. Step into the land of Darling and find out about the process behind your made to order silk bomber jacket.
1. You place your order - Brontë adds your order to our production cutting list. This is where we can tell if we have the fabric to make your jacket. If we don't you'll receive an email. We then add your fabric to our next fabric order list. We do a fabric order once a month and only order what is needed as to create as little waste as possible. If we do have your fabric your jacket is cut by our wonderful pattern cutter Jess. She works her way through the cutting list preparing the pieces of fabric ready to be given to a seamstress. There are 30 individual pieces that make up your silk bomber jacket and every single one is loving prepared here in the studio.
2. Once your jacket has been cut it then gets passed to one of our skilled seamstresses. They ensure the pieces are sewn to the highest standard possible. Its intricate work dealing with silk, we feel very lucky to have the amazing team that we do.
3. Once sewn, the jacket arrives back at our studio where we carefully quality check it to make sure it meets the darling standard. We check every seam, cuffs, collar and waistband, trim off loose threads, and lint roll any fibres.
4. The final stage is packing your silk bomber jacket up beautifully ready to be shipped out. We use completely plastic free packaging and every order comes with a hand written Sophie Darling postcard. Now your silk bomber jacket is ready for dispatch, you will receive a tracking number confirmation. All of our bomber jackets get shipped next day guaranteed for your peace of mind.
You receive emails throughout the production so you know exactly what stage your bomber jacket is at. We like to create a connection with your piece before receiving it. Made to last and made to love.
